Thursday

Today our time with Little Miss was spent in the tiny room from our first visit.  We were playing with toys, she decided to look in the bag we carry them in to see what else she could find.  Well lo and behold what did she see?  The gerber puffs!  She looked like she hit the jackpot!  So then we played AND ate.  The game was to take the toys out of the bag and then she put them back in the bag.  She also found tissues in the bag.  I gave her one and she started wiping the floor and the walls.  We are going to have a new helper around the house!  She then was getting tired so we spent some time holding her and cuddling while she sucked her thumb.  Have we mentioned how precious our daughter is?  We decided it was time to take her back to her group.  It was snack time and we didn't want her to miss out.  As soon as we went in she noticed the cookie like biscuits were on the counter and she put out her hand.  I tell you food makes this girl happy!  They sat her down at the little table to have her snack.  We said said our goodbyes.  Paka Paka!  Before we left the home the caregivers gave us 2 letters.  We had asked them on Tuesday if they wanted to write a letter for us or for our daughter.  We were not so sure they would, but they did!  We are again filled with gratitude for these women who have loved and cared for our child until we found our way to her.  They are a blessing.

After the baby home, we went to buy supplies for the home.  We then went to a restaurant called Stolle with our translator and driver.  This place only sells pies.  Bill -the pie lover- was thrilled.  They had savory meat and fish pies, more like a struedel.  Also, sweet fruit pies, some traditional such as apple, but then other more unusual fruits.  It was quite tasty.

Later, in the evening, it was back to the mall for us.  The snow boots we bought for Little Miss did not fit properly.  We were able to return them  and found a different pair to try.
